Posts: 320 (10/10/2008 6:52 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Tags : None since it seems that new admins will be needed maybe a nomination and voting system could be put in place but not a silly one where everyone can vote a million times ( i am an aussie i believe in one vote one value) a voting system where only posters who have been members for more than six months can vote, seems fair. a nomination process - must be nominated by another supporter and have four secure votes to be eligible then a straight up numbers vote on the final selections. that way people cannot argue that admins are chosen arbitrarily and it may also help to bring new people in does anyone agree with this ?

I don't see a plea from the 4 mods already in situ that they want/need new mods. 2. The board is fine. All four are doing an excellent job. If they do need new admins, I'm sure that's something they can figure out for themselves.

Posts: 323 (10/10/2008 9:14 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Dimmi thanks for your response and i do agree that all supporter boards should be supported and i applaud your enthusiasm and dedication in your aim at making the board work. i have been involved in project management for a big part of my life and i have always found that projects that have hard workers can sometimes be successful whereas projects that encourage everyone to work hard are always successful. real power is in making people want to do the work rather than forcing them to work, or so it seems to me. i could of course be completely wrong about that. this board has always been fuelled by passion and it is a great source of energy,however like a good marriage there has to be something more sustainable when the passion cools to keep it going through the quiet times. things like character,commonality,respect for other's opinions, things of substance,now substance and maintenance may be boring but they are also very necessary. If i can just use the marriage analogy to further my point : History and longevity has never saved a single marriage, that had no substance when the passion cooled, as the divorce rate can attest, this board needs to be mindful of that. stay current interested and involved and most importantly remember all three men in prison. thanks again for letting me share my opinion and please know that i do not wish the demise of this board. actually rugs i would like to see you as an admin here i think it would bring new life and unity to the boards not trying to put you on the spot or anything but just saying.

There will be no additional admins. We have enough now. There will be some forum mods, whose jobs will have nothing to do with editing, banning, or otherwise playing cop. They'll be all about keeping the discussion on track and (in theory) interesting. Without a sledgehammer. The four buttons on the left are the ones you bitch to if your post gets touched. No one else will have permission to do so. If that changes, we'll definitely let y'all know. The End.
