Although I have dropped using my surname this time around and thus look like a newbie! Hopefully this make-over was just in the nick of time and some of the old and valuable contributors will slowly re-emerge. The new comers seem to be in the ascendant at the moment. I was thinking that Farm was posting under the Newman name - but now having doubts as would have thought he would have had the moral courage to sign his posts. Other nons have done the honourable thing when using new nicknames. Nah! I ain't gonna get myself caught up in a bun fight about nick names!! Bin there Done that! Miranda

My reference about bun fights was over the fact that I have 'shed' my surname. Way back in the quite old days I got into protracted and heated debate over the use of 'silly nicknames' on line - especially in a situation like this where one is trying to stand up and be counted for one's beliefs and opinions. I do, however, think it is wise for younger posters to use 'faux' names to protect their identities and themselves from the potential nastiness, so prevalent, on line. Miranda ps Can you help me out with a couple of dates? I am pretty sure that the Sharon Nelson affidavit preceded the 'publication' of the WMPD interview with TH - but verification would be good! Not that it is any big deal in terms of the potential value in terms of proving anything critical. Whilst no tech probs posting here I have an attack of the gremlins in other parts of my pc and am tearing hair out - hence not trawling through data for myself and no-one else has answered Sheer's information request yet. Am I right in thinking that the affidavit was among papers filed around the time of that press conference and the TH video emerged after that I rather think.

Am I right in thinking that the affidavit was among papers filed around the time of that press conference and the TH video emerged after that I rather think. If it is shown that you were "right" thinking, please remind me, so we all have at least one documented example.

How you are ever going to appreciate that fact I don't know. This isn't about liking or disliking Damien--it is about TRUTH, JUSTICE, and the AMERICAN WAY! (Think Superman, kiddo!) If this can happen to someone like Damien, what makes you think it can't happen to you? That someone might take it into their head that you're abusing your children or the neighbors and go to CPS and denounce you and have your children taken away and you put in prison for fourteen years or so to punish you for what didn't happen? That someone might convince you that you blanked out having ritually abused a neighbor and get you to "confess" to something that didn't happen? That your kids won't be convinced by someone with a sick imagination to make up tales about you, or that one of them, angry for some reason, won't go to the police and make an unfounded and unprovable accusation that will ruin your life? Those children are dead, but we have no proof we have the real killers in prison--indeed, the crime that they were imprisoned for never happened the way it's supposed to have happened as told by police and prosecutors! I could care less whether it's Damien Echols in prison or the Archbishop of Canterbury or Farm himself--when I'm not convinced that the crime happened the way they said it did, when I'm certain those convicted were done so wrongly, I'll fight for their freedom.
